MotivoCast compared

MotivoCast vs Spyne for dealership photos and video

Spyne and MotivoCast both do AI car background removal and vehicle video for dealerships. They differ on what their AI agents do, on how each connects to your DMS, your website and your own AI agents, on where the company and the data sit, and on what each says about accurate listings. This page compares them on the things a dealer actually asks about, using Spyne's own public pages, and says plainly where Spyne is the better fit.

Read this first

We wrote this. Read it that way.

This is a comparison written by one of the two companies in it, so it is not neutral and does not pretend to be. What we have done to make it useful: every statement about Spyne comes from Spyne's own public web pages, reviewed on 14 September 2026 (agents and integrations on 20 October 2026), and where a page did not say something we say it did not say it rather than guessing. Where Spyne is the stronger choice we say so. If Spyne tells us we have something wrong, we will correct it and note the correction here.

Side by side

Eight things a dealer asks about.

The table covers pricing, background removal, video, the agent, connections to your own AI agents, connections to your DMS and website, where the company and data are, and what each says about listing accuracy. "Not stated" means we could not find it on Spyne's public pages, not that it does not exist.

Pricing

Both quote to your inventory.

Neither MotivoCast nor Spyne publishes a single price. Spyne's pricing page lists two tiers, Lite and Pro, and says pricing is "tailored based on monthly inventory volume, number of rooftops, selected feature set". MotivoCast quotes the same way, for the same reason: a single store listing forty cars a month and a ten-rooftop group are different jobs. The difference is in what a plan includes. Every MotivoCast plan comes with the AI agent, the multi-rooftop inventory system and the capture app, and you can create an account and start on your own without a sales call.

The agent

Both have AI agents. Ours does the merchandising.

Every MotivoCast plan includes an AI agent that does merchandising work: it finds and reports on inventory, reprocesses images, changes backdrops, generates video, writes descriptions, runs scheduled jobs and sends email, by voice, chat or email, within the permissions of whoever is asking. Spyne describes its AI agents as "conversational", and its Pro tier includes AI-generated vehicle descriptions, which is one of the things our agent also does. An agent that does the merchandising work itself (processing photos, making video, publishing inventory) is not stated on the pages we reviewed. If the agent is the reason you are looking, this is the comparison that matters.

Connections

A bridge to your DMS, your website and your own AI agents.

MotivoCast sits between the systems a dealership already runs. Your vehicle list comes in from the DMS as an FTP feed, so new arrivals appear without anyone typing them in, and every finished photo and video goes out to your website provider as one feed URL. Direct DMS and website-provider integrations come next.

It also plugs into the AI agents you already use. Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, Muse or a custom agent of your own can connect to MotivoCast over MCP and get the work done for you.

Spyne's integrations page lists "native integrations with all major DMS platforms" and says Spyne "integrates with all major website platforms and marketplaces", which is broader direct coverage than our FTP feed and feed URL today. It does not mention connecting outside AI agents.

Where Spyne is the better fit

Fair is fair.

Spyne offers a free online background-removal tool for one-off images, which we do not; if you have a single photograph to clean up today, that is the faster answer. Spyne offers 360-degree spin tours and narrated video tours; our video is a cinematic walkaround generated from stills, in landscape and vertical, and we do not do 360 spins. Spyne lists native integrations with all major DMS and website platforms, where we connect by FTP feed and feed URL today. Spyne is the larger and longer-established company, with the scale that implies. If any of those is your deciding factor, Spyne is the right call and we would rather you knew that here than found out later.

Where MotivoCast is

Canadian, in both languages, with the data at home.

Motivoai is a federally incorporated Canadian company in Ottawa. Account data is held in Canada, in Montreal; the product and this site are in English and French; our terms are governed by Ontario law. Our terms also prohibit using background removal to conceal damage or any material fact about a vehicle, and put listing accuracy on the dealer who publishes — a position we would rather state than leave implied. Spyne's pages do not state a headquarters, a data location or a listing-accuracy policy; that is not a criticism, it is what we could and could not find.

Questions about the comparison

Is this comparison fair?

It is written by MotivoCast, so it is not neutral. Every statement about Spyne comes from Spyne's own public pages as of 14 September 2026 (agents and integrations as of 20 October 2026), "not stated" means we could not find it rather than that it does not exist, and we say plainly where Spyne is the better fit. If Spyne tells us something here is wrong, we will correct it and note the correction.

Does Spyne publish its prices?

Not on the pricing page we reviewed. It lists Lite and Pro tiers and says pricing is tailored to monthly inventory volume, number of rooftops and feature set. MotivoCast quotes the same way; every plan includes the AI agent, the inventory system and the capture app.

Does Spyne have an AI agent?

Yes. Spyne describes its AI agents as conversational, and its Pro tier includes AI-generated vehicle descriptions. An agent that does merchandising work (processing photos, making video, publishing inventory) is not stated on the pages we reviewed. Every MotivoCast plan includes one, and outside agents such as Claude can connect to it over MCP.

Can I connect Claude, ChatGPT or our own AI agent?

To MotivoCast, yes: Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, Muse or a custom agent of your own can connect over MCP and get the work done for you. Spyne's integrations page does not mention connecting outside AI agents.

How does each connect to my DMS and website?

MotivoCast reads your vehicle list from the DMS as an FTP feed and gives your website provider one feed URL carrying every finished photo and video; direct integrations are planned. Spyne's integrations page lists native integrations with all major DMS platforms and says it integrates with all major website platforms and marketplaces.

When is Spyne the better choice?

If you want a free online tool to clean up a single image, if you need 360-degree spin tours, if you need a native DMS or website-platform integration today, or if the scale of a larger, longer-established vendor is your deciding factor. We say so on the page.

Where is my data with each?

MotivoCast account data is held in Canada, in Montreal, with media processing in the eastern United States, and we say so in our privacy policy. Spyne's pages do not state a data location.

Decide on your own car, not our table.

Book a demo and we will run a vehicle from your own lot through the whole pipeline, live. Bring the Spyne output for the same car if you have it — we would rather you compared them side by side.
