AI agent for car dealerships

An AI agent that runs your vehicle merchandising

MotivoCast's AI agent is an AI agent for car dealerships — automotive dealers and dealer groups — that does the merchandising work: it photographs, processes, publishes and reports on your inventory on your instruction, by voice, chat or email, within the permissions of whoever is asking. It is included in every plan.

Agent, not chatbot

A chatbot answers. An agent does the work.

Most automotive dealer AI you will be shown is a sales assistant: it texts leads, books test drives, answers questions on your website at two in the morning. Useful, and not what this is. This agent works on the other side of the store — the inventory. Ask it which vehicles arrived this week and are not yet live, and it tells you. Tell it to reprocess every Silverado on the new backdrop, and it does. Ask it to send you a report every Monday, and it will, and you can reply to that email to change what next Monday's says.

The difference is that it has tools, not just a vocabulary. It can read your inventory, run processing, generate video, write descriptions, schedule jobs and send mail. Twenty-seven of them at last count.

What it can do

Everything the interface can — and the parts you'd rather not click through.

The rule is simple: anything you can do in MotivoCast, you can ask the agent to do. Talk to it — there is a voice mode built for a phone on a lot — type to it, or email it. It builds a working memory of your preferences and standing instructions, so it stops asking you the same questions.

  • Find, filter and report on inventory across every rooftop
  • Reprocess images, change backdrops, generate walkaround video
  • Write and revise listing descriptions
  • Run recurring jobs on a schedule — a Monday report, a nightly check for vehicles missing an angle
  • Send and receive email on your behalf, and act on replies
  • Remember how you like things done, per organisation, cleared on request

Unattended work

It works while nobody is watching.

Here is what lands in a general manager's inbox on a Monday. Three rooftops, what arrived, what went live, what is held and why — and a line saying the two held units are missing an interior pass, with the photographers already messaged. Replying to that email is how you change what next week's covers. Sample report; the counts and names are invented.

Repeating — Mondays at 07:00

Last week across three rooftops

33 vehicles arrived last week and 31 are live. Two are held at Movo Toyota.

Both held units are missing an interior pass — the phone was put down before the dashboard shot. I have messaged the two photographers with the angle they skipped.

Reply to this email to change what it covers. “Drop the arrived column and add days-to-live” is enough; next Monday's report follows the new shape.

Sample report. Counts, names and addresses are invented.

Limits

It cannot exceed the person asking.

The question every dealer principal asks second, after what it can do, is what it can do wrong. The agent operates strictly within the permissions of the person instructing it. A photographer's agent can capture and upload; it cannot publish or touch billing. A store manager's agent works in that manager's rooftops and no others. Asked to do something the person could not do in the interface, it declines — exactly as the interface would. Actions it takes on your instruction are your actions, and we say so in our terms, because that is the honest framing and because it is what makes the permission model matter.

Inventory lives in one place rather than in a folder on somebody's desktop, so “what is ready to publish” has the same answer in every store.

The AI agent runs against the same grid. Asked to do something the person requesting it cannot do, it declines — exactly as the interface would.

Included

It comes with the plan, not on top of it.

Agent Standard is included in every MotivoCast plan. It is not an add-on and there is no separate line for it on the invoice. Agent Pro, for groups that outgrow Standard, is the one tier bought separately. We do not train models on your inventory or your photographs, and the agent's memory is scoped to your organisation and deleted with your account.

Questions dealers ask about the agent

What is an AI agent for a car dealership?

Software that performs work on instruction rather than only answering questions. Most dealership AI agents handle sales conversations. MotivoCast's agent handles vehicle merchandising: it photographs, processes, publishes and reports on inventory, by voice, chat or email, within the permissions of the person asking.

Is it built for a single auto dealer or for a dealer group?

Both. A single-rooftop dealer gets an agent that works its one store. A dealer group gets the same agent across every rooftop, with each person's agent limited to the stores and actions that person is allowed — a store manager's agent cannot see another store; a photographer's cannot publish.

Is the AI agent included or extra?

Agent Standard is included in every plan at no extra cost. Agent Pro is a separate subscription for groups that need more than Standard provides.

Can it do anything I can't?

No. It operates within the permissions of whoever is instructing it and cannot perform any action that person could not perform in the interface. A photographer's agent cannot publish; a store manager's agent cannot touch billing.

Can I talk to it?

Yes. There is a voice mode built for use on a lot, a chat interface, and email — you can email the agent, and reply to reports it sends you to change what they cover.

Does it remember things?

It keeps a working memory of your instructions, preferences and standing tasks, scoped to your organisation and never shared between customers. You can ask us to clear it at any time; it is deleted with your account.

Can it run things on a schedule?

Yes. Recurring jobs are a core use: a Monday report across rooftops, a nightly check for vehicles missing an angle, a weekly reprocess of anything shot on the old backdrop.

Do you train AI models on my inventory or photos?

No. Media you upload is processed only to produce your output. We do not use it to train, fine-tune or evaluate any model, and we do not permit our vendors to.

Bring us one car. We'll show you the agent working on it.

Book a demo and we will run a vehicle from your own lot through capture, processing and video — then ask the agent to do the rest, out loud.
