Car photography app for dealership lots
A guided car photography app — your lot attendant shoots like a pro
The MotivoCast car photography app draws the shot on the phone camera: a wireframe for each of twenty-seven angles, so anyone on a dealership lot captures a correct, consistent set the first time, with no photographer, studio or backdrop — and the set is background-removed and published the same day.
The overlay
The app draws the shot. Your lot attendant lines the car up inside it.
The hard part of dealership photography was never the camera. It was getting the same twenty-seven angles, framed the same way, from every person who ever picks up the phone, on a lot, in weather. The app puts a bright wireframe over the viewfinder for each angle — here is where the front quarter goes, here is how much sky — and ticks the angles off as they are captured. Anyone can shoot a full set correctly the first time, because the framing decision has already been made.

The six that have to be right
Twenty-seven angles, and six the buyer actually decides on.
Front quarter, front, driver side, passenger side, back quarter, back. Those six are what a shopper scrolls through before deciding whether to read further, and they are the ones the app is strictest about. The other twenty-one — wheels, badges, dashboard, odometer, seats — cover what a shopper looks for once they are interested. The app knows which is which, and so does the processing behind it.
- Six exterior angles that get the full background-removal treatment
- Interior and detail shots captured in the same walk, in order
- Odometer and VIN plate captured so the record is complete
- Missing angles flagged before the set is submitted
No studio
Shoot where the car is. It comes back on a backdrop.
The app does not need a clean background because the processing removes whatever was there. Shoot in the service lane, against the fence, in the snow. Each angle is composited onto the matching plate of your store's backdrop set, so a set shot by three different people in three different weeks lands on the website looking like one photographer did it in a studio.
Across rooftops
Every store, one standard.
A group runs every rooftop from one account. Each store has its own backdrop; the capture standard is the same everywhere; photographers see only the stores they are assigned to. The result is a group inventory that looks like it came from one place, because in the ways that matter it did.
One account, every rooftop
- MFMovo Fordown backdrop
- MTMovo Toyotaown backdrop
- MDMovo Downtownown backdrop
Inventory lives in one place rather than in a folder on somebody's desktop, so “what is ready to publish” has the same answer in every store.
Who can do what
| Role | Capture | Process | Publish | Users | Billing |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Admin | allowed | allowed | allowed | allowed | allowed |
| Store manager | allowed | allowed | allowed | not allowed | not allowed |
| Photographer | allowed | not allowed | not allowed | not allowed | not allowed |
The AI agent runs against the same grid. Asked to do something the person requesting it cannot do, it declines — exactly as the interface would.
Questions dealers ask about the app
Do my staff need photography training?
No. The app draws the framing for each angle over the camera and ticks angles off as they are captured. The framing decision has been made in advance; the person shooting lines the car up inside the wireframe.
What phone does it run on?
Android phones today: the app is on Google Play. The iPhone app is coming soon to the App Store. No external lens, tripod or lighting is needed — the processing handles what the environment gets wrong.
How many photos does it take per vehicle?
Twenty-seven guided angles: six exterior angles that get the full background-removal treatment, plus interior and detail shots. The app flags any missing angle before the set is submitted.
Does it need a clean background?
No. Shoot wherever the car is — the service lane, the back lot, in snow. Background removal takes out what was there and places the vehicle on your store's backdrop.
Can photographers see other stores' inventory?
Only the stores they are assigned to. Access is per role and per rooftop: admins see everything, store managers their own rooftops, photographers what they have been assigned.
Is the app included in the plan?
Yes. Every MotivoCast plan includes the capture app, the AI agent and multi-rooftop inventory management. Processing is billed per credit beyond your monthly allowance.
Bring us one car. Your own staff will shoot it — and it'll be live before the paperwork is done.
Book a demo and we will walk a vehicle from your own lot through the app, background removal and video, live, while you watch.
